Our trip

For our vacation this year we opted to take another Disney cruise, this time sailing around Spain from Barcelona to Southampton. We saw the opportunity to extend the trip at both ends to see more of both cities and further our adventures.

Our itinerary at a glance

1. Fly into Barcelona, spend a few days to visit the city.
2. Set sail on the Disney Dream, cruising the coast of Spain with stops in different ports, and arriving at our final destination in Southampton.
3. Sightseeing in London

Memorable Highlights

While each day brought fun stuff and solid memories, here were some things that stood out for us:

Spain

• Barcelona:
  • Seeing the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia and learning about the famous architect who built it.
  • Visiting the Castell de Montjuïc overlooking the city and understanding the city’s rich history.
  • Walking the infamous Gothic Quarter.
  • Watching Spain win the 2026 World Cup against Argentina and seeing the locals celebrate in the streets.
• The Alhambra
• The port of Vigo and a drive across the border into Portugal
• Visiting the Santiago de Compostela – on Día de Santiago!!

England

• The London Tower and witnessing the Ceremony of the Keys
• Walking the Tower Bridge and being on top when it opened for a boat.
• Watching a show in London’s famous West End
• Seeing Stonehenge (finally)
• Abbey Road
• An awesome Jack the Ripper walking tour througout the White Chapel district.
• Getting out of the city and going to see the White Cliffs of Dover
